Note: He wrote a letter to the Secretary of the 1st Convention/Reunion of the Dodge Family in America that was held at Mechanics Hall, in Boston, Massachusetts. The letter was dated July 23d, 1879 and Thaddeus had seen a nespaper clipping in a newspaper about this convention/reunion. He wrote to say that his grandfather, Daniel Dodge, was an only son and only child and that his father was killed during the Revolutionary War. He gave the names of many of the descendents. When we found this information in that book, "Report of the Memoriable First Reunion of the Dodge Family in America, by Robert Dodge, 1879", we were able toresearch and fill in much other information. We found out that the parents of Daniel were Daniel R. C. Dodge, and Nancy Blydenburgh. However, we have not been able to go back further than this in this ancestry. We think this might be Tristram Lineage because of the mention of Long Island, New York, in the letter and the marriage certificate of Daniel and Nancy was found at a church on Long Island.
