John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

He was wounded on 6 October 1864 at Edinburg, Virginia and died of his wounds 16 October 1864.
He is buried at Winchester National Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia.

John Porter Dodge. Born 05 Nov 1833. South Danvers, Massachusetts; Enlisted: 26 July 1862 - Union; Rank Induction: Corporal; Rank Discharge: Sergeant; 39th Regiment, Massachusetts Infantry, Co. A
He was imprisoned most of the war and died 13 January 1865 in Salisbury Prison, North Carolina.
He was the husband of Andrea; father of daughters Eliza and Annie, sons Bartholome and Pilas.
He was the son of John Dodge and Hannah Arrington.

Dodge, b. 1838 and d. 16 Aug 1867Civil War-Private-Company G-85th Regiment-Illinois Volunteers-enlisted Aug 1862 description from pension records: age 26, height 6 feet 1.75 inches, complexion light, eyes blue, hair dark, place of birth Schuyler Illinois, occupation farmer Civil War veteran and died from war wounds. Some say he died in Bushnel, IL.

Lineage - We have not yet been able to find the ancestry of Joseph Stanley Dodge..
Joseph Roberts Dodge was b. on 31 Dec 1845 in Danvers, Essex County, Massachusetts
He enlisted in Co. A, 50th Regiment of the Massachusetts Infantry and died of disease 26 July 1863 in Port Hudson, Louisiana. He was the son of Joseph Stanley Dodge and Lovicey Chandler Holland.

Julian Percival Dodge, b. September 29, 1842, enlisted in Co. F., 2nd Regiment, Sharpshooters, Nov. 26, 1861. Lost in battle before Petersburg, June 21, 1864, age 21 years, 8 months, 22 days.
Julian's parents were Solomon Dodge, Jr. and Mary (Dodge) Dodge
