John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, was the father of William and Richard who came to America in 1629 and 1638, respectively. They settled in what is now, Salem, Massachusetts.
Tristram Dodge came to Block Island, Rhode Island in 1660/61. He came from England, via Newfoundland, via Taunton, Massachusetts. We believe that his ancestors were came from Northern England

He died in prison at Andersonville 20 Jul 1864.
Caleb's parents were William Batchelder Dodge and Sophia Friend.

Charles was the son of Alvah Dodge and Lydia Elliott.

Chauncey Brown Dodge, a soldier in the Union army, killed July 16, 1862. He was married to Sarah Mills. He was 31 yrs. old when he was killed and he left two sons; Chauncey L. Dodge, and Edwin Dodge.
Chauncey was the son of Jared Plum Dodge and Julia Twining.

Chauncey B. Dodge, age 18, enlisted at Triangle, near Whitney Point, Broome County, NY, to serve three years, and mustered in as private, Co. E, 76th NY Volunteer Infantry, July 17, 1863; wounded and captured in action, May 5, 1864, at the Wilderness, Va.; transferred to Co. D, One Hundred Forty- seventh NY Infantry, January 28, 1865; died at Andersonville, Ga. Sept 20, 1864 from Chronic Diarrhea. Son of Avery Bromley Dodge and Phoebe Parker (Chauncey's letter home)

Dodge, Christopher L., born 1844; enlisted 17 Feb 1864 in the 1st Sharp Shooters (Perrin's), 27th Infantry, Michigan Regiment. He died, Jul 3, 1864 of wounds in Washington
Christopher was the son of Christopher B. and Dorothy Dodge

Columbus Dodge, Morrison, Illinois; Enlisted: 04 Nov 1861 - Union;
Rank Induction: Private; Rank Discharge: Private; 46th Regiment, Illinois Infantry, Co. E
Columbus was killed in action on 4 May 1862 and is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Whiteside County, Illinois.
He was the son of William F. and Catherine Dodge.
