Dodge to Dodge Lease

Know all men by these presents that I Warren Dodge of Edgecomb in the County of Lincoln yeoman in consideration of the rents here after reserved and convenants made do hereby demise lease and to a farm let to Malachi Dodge and his wife Olive Dodge both of said Edgecomb the following piece of land lying and being in said Edgecomb and bounded Northerly on land occupied by Ebenezer Haggett, Southerly by land the said Malachi this day deeded to Enoch Dodge and being the North half of a lot Number two hundred and eight on the plan of said town, and being the North half of the farm the said Malachi sold this day to Warren Dodge containing seventy one acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said Malachi and Olive his wife during their natural lives and the life of the longest liver of them all the privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, they the said Malachi Dodge and Olive paying and yielding therefor to the said Warren ten barley corn yearly and every year on the first day of October if demanded.

In witness whereof the said Malachi, Warren do hereunto set their hands & seals the twenty eight day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen.
