Tim snapped this picture on a recent Ohio trip. This is the Dodge House Hotel, built by Sid Palmer Dodge, son of Joel Palmer Dodge in 1889 after the original wood frame hotel burned down the previous year. It is located in West Unity, Ohio. He ran this hotel until 1906 when he moved to Columbus, Ohio. | ||

These photos of Mary Jane Stoaks Dodge (on the left} and one of her sons, Joseph Luther Dodge (on the right), were in a box of memorabilia from a friend of the Benton Stoaks Dodge family. When the last member of the family died, the friend rescued the box and sent it to us. We would love to get that box to some family member in this Dodge line. Joseph was a great grandson of Benjamin Dodge and Tabitha Dodge, a Grandson of Thomas Dodge and Amanda Kingsley, and a son of Luther Palmer Dodge and Mary Jane Stoaks Dodge. |
