| On the left is pictured Joseph Thompson Dodge who was the compiler and
author of Dodge of Essex County 1629-1898, originally a two volume set. He is
holding one of the set of books. His brother, Adam Clarke Dodge, is pictured on the
right. Joseph did a remarkable job before the days of computers and e-mail.
The result of his work is the basic 'Bible' of Dodge Family Genealogy for the
William/Richard line of Dodges. We have used the genealogy in this book as a base
for our large genealogy file which now contains well over 14,000 names. To see this
