Crofs to Dodge

Know all men by these Presents, that I Joshua Crofs of Edgecumbe in the County of Lincoln Yeoman, in Consideration often pounds paid me by Malachi Dodge of said Edgecumbe, Yeoman, the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge do hereby remise release and for ever Quitclaim to the said Malachi Dodge his heirs and assigns all my Right Title Interest property Claim and demand which I have in a certain Tract of Land Iying in Edgecomb aforesaid containing two hundred acres, more or less, bounded one hundred Rods Southerly on the head of the first Tier of Lotts on the West Side of Damariscotta River- viz Joshua Crofs's and James Carter's lots, & Northeasterly on Land belonging to Zachariah Dodge and Southwesterly on Land belonging to Daniel Gardiner & to [insind?]West North West holding the Width of one hundred, two hundred poles, with the priviledges and appurtenances thereto belonging. To have and to hold the same to the said Malachi his heirs & assigns, to his and their full use fole use forever. In Witnefs whereof I have set my hand and Seal this twenty eighth day of March in the sixteenth year of his Majesty's Reign A.D. 1776 JoshuaCrofs & a Seal. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of Ebenezer Gove, Nathan Gove Edgecumbe March 28, 1776. Then the above Joshya Crofs in Person appeared & acknowledged the above Instrument to be his free act and Deed before me Moses Davis Justice Peace.
