| Palmer Cemetery is about 5 miles south of Alcove cemetery. Hezekiah Dodge, b. abt. 1731 on Long Island, New York, had among his 6 children, a daughter, Susannah who married Mordecai Brown. Susannah is buried in Alcove cemetery. He also had a son, Edmund. Edmund married Sarah Doty and they had 12 children. One of his sons was Samuel whose wife, Dorcas White is buried here. Samuel and Dorcas had among their 9 children, a son, Elijah who married Salome Covey. Two of their children are also buried here. |
