Sanders Cemetery, Lowell, Lake Co., Indiana

This is the cemetery where most of the children of Hiram A. Dodge and Emma Jean Cleaver are buried.
The family descends from John Dodge of Middle Chinnock, Somerset, England, through his son Richard Dodge
who came to the area of Salem, massachusetts in 1638, 9 years after his brother, William arrived.

2. Robert F. Dodge, born 1914, Indiana and died 1988. He was a 1st Lt in the US Army World War II.

1. Elmo Dodge born 1934 and died 1961. With a death date of 1961, he was most likely a Vietnam War casualty, so we have put him in our Ultimate Sacrifice for Vietnam. He was a SP4 in the 588 Engr Const BN, Viet Nam. We don't know who Elmo L. Dodge belongs to, but we believe he was the son of Elmo A. Dodge and Velma Call. Elmo A. Dodge was a brother of Robert, Sidney and Merrill.

2. Sidney Dodge, born 14 Jan 1916, Lake Co., Indiana and died 1985. He was a Sgt in the US Marine Corps World War II

3. Emma Lucille Dodge. In our data base, we have 'Lucinda 'Lucie' V. DODGE' born abt. 1906. We believe that Emma Lucille Dodge, the name on the stone is our 'Lucinda 'Lucie' V. DODGE'. The date of birth on the stone is 1910 and death date is 1934.
