Re: Fwd: Dodge-McClary marriage
Just thought you might enjoy these.
1 Eliza McClary 2nd wife of Henry Dodge, with one of her
grandchildren (don't know which one). Eliza was the
daughter of Alexander McClary (Irish) and Angeline Little.
2. A young Eliza McClary with her husband Henry Dodge.
The Dodge men seemed to be long legged (lanky) and the women seemed to be square
jawed.A similarity I have found on family photographs between
Mary Jane Dodge and her niece Gladys Elien Dodge - the daughter of Henry
and Eliza.
3. Three sons of Henry Dodge and Eliza McClary unfortunately we
don't know which. However, the three eldest were Freddie Alexander, Archie and Percy Ray. Eliza had another son Garnet
who named Henry as his father on his birth
deposition. She married second to a man named John Moe.
4. Gladys Elien Dodge married John Chausse with infant son
Edward.
5. Gladys Elien (Dodge) and her obituary - gives her birth.
6. Gladys Elien Dodge with her husband John Chausse who was in
the reserves.
Mary Jane Dodge with her husband John Edward Wellington, their
daughter Elisabeth (Lizzie) in her wedding dress other female is
unidentified. Courtesy of Jerry Wilson - his grandmother
and great grandmother. Norma
Family of Rufus Dodge and Mary Jane Hodge - can be found on 1930 US
Census. Also verified on Polk City Directory for Cheboygan
Michigan.Rufus as well as his brother John R. are found on
both the 1910 and 1916 directories. Rufus' marriage image and
record found on the Familysearch.org site. John was found in
Wisconsin.
