Proved, >Queens County, January 15, 1785. Confirmed, New York, January 20, 1785. This would appear to confirm that Tristram is NOT the son of Jeremiah, at least not this Tristram, for he was ALIVE in 1779, and did not die in 1763 as published in TRW. Jeremiahs will was written in 1774 and DOES NOT mention him. There is a possibility that the Tristram who m. Phebe Mott (remember the name Mott from Jeremiah's will?) in 1741 is Jeremiahs. He died in 1760- before Jeremiah's will was written. BUT, one would think that this Tristram's son Joseph would have been remembered in Jeremiahs will. I think NONE of these Tristrams fit with Jeremiah. Timothy and Teal Abel 33512 NYS Rte 26 Carthage NY 13619 abeltj@northnet.org
