I personally liked the photos of my family's stones.- great grandfather, Charles Holden Dodge / Ida Eureka Butler. The parents of Charles are on the backside - Leonard Dodge / Elizabeth Holden. The stone was erected by my great aunt, Mattie, (Martha) Agnes Dodge, daughter of Charles and Ida. I have one correction for your photo information and that is Martha's death date is 1955 which you can tell was added after she passed and is not in the same depth numbers. Ida Butler Dodge actually raised my father and his older siblings because grandmother, Daisy Copp died when my father was born. Grandpa, Chester (who is buried with Daisy at the top of the hill above this cemetery) had his hands full and needed what help Ida was able to give before she passed in 1923. Great aunt Mattie was the oldest child, never married, strong of character and was the "glue" that held the family together. She lived all her life in Ipswich - she took care of me often, at the time living in the Dennis-Dodge House at 10 County St. There are three earlier generations ( I have six gen. planted in this cemetery) on the far right side of the lower cemetery. John Howard Dodge, his father Ezekiel Dodge and his grandfather, Ezekiel Dodge. I see in one photo, that shows Earl, it looks like you must have gone up to the top part (Highland Cemetery). Again, I appreciated seeing these pictures and am getting enthused about buying a digital camera. For this activity there is a definite advantage - they are quite sharp and you can take so many!
